Yes, finally, our plumbing problem had been solved. We had purchased a replacement for the water tank which burst out into a water fountain a week ago. We contacted a plumber whom we always called in whenever there’s problem regarding our water system. From there, the plumber suggested we replaced the pressure switch which have been forming rust into some parts. He said it’s the reason why the pump had not been automatically shutting off. The pressure switch’s the small part which is attached near the engine and the tank. It is wired to the pump which then connects to the panel board sending electricity to power on the water tank.
Even when we, homeowners ensures the maintenance of our equipments in the house, there should come a time, when usage and serviceable life have been reached, it shall needed to be replaced. Therefore, it is a must to always save so as the time when there’s expenses that can not be avoided, we can readily purchased new ones.
Another expenses came out unexpectedly as our water tank burst out in huge leaks few days ago. Actually, the husband had made some remedy when the tank showed a very small leak in December last year. Perhaps, a sealant had worked to extend few more months of its service life.
But, then, when the same leak had exploded creating a huge water fountain near our storage area, we came to realized we had no other option but purchased a new water tank. Well, it’s serviceable life had been over 5 years already. Not bad.
I guess, what made the water tank last that long is because the good husband regularly did a clean up on the tank. This way, rust forming on the body of the tank will be washed away. This is actually the downside of having our tap water sourced out from a deep well. Water needs to be pumped out by a small hydraulic pump to be stored in tanks. And, as we know, tap water contains rust. Rust that can clog water pipes causing it to burst. Rust can also do potential harm on the engine pump itself. Thus, to minimize the damage, the husband continuously checked on our water system. Checking/repairing minor leaks there is.
But, when times call for a replacement, particularly that he couldn’t control the leak anymore, he advised that I should have called up our neighbor plumber to get the work done. Major replacement = Major expenses
